2 things invited artists should know.

we have a bunch of artists; some are painters, some are illustrators and some are toy customizers. Because of such a mixed group, we had to make a decision on the material the demon will be cast in.

As we have more people drawing, painting or applying on the surface of the demon  we opted to cast the demon in polyresin and not in the usual used urethane resin.

So what is the difference?

Polyresin is a lot more stone-like and can’t be compared to any plastic material; think figurine statues commonly found in comic stores, the ones that don’t have articulation, stand on a little pedestal and a bit heavy. The good quality, is that it allows easy painting out of the box. We do gonna put a small primer on it just in case, but it’s good to know that you have a surface that is easy to use. Second of all, it is cheaper for us to make, as it’s 1/3 of the price for urethane based resins.

Another thing to consider

 If we send the packages out from here in China, it will take almost a month to arrive, due to the customs here and the extremely high fee, who knows why… We are currently facing almost 500 USD just in sending costs and are forced into sending all of them through an agent, that will send everything through Hong Kong.

This still means that you’ll have to wait a bit longer to receive your package, and hope you can understand :)
